# In all fields, Knowledge is power!!

Since my Cambodia trip had been cancelled due to some Online technical issues, I finally make up my mind to visit Koh Lipe Island, an Island belong to Thailand and not too far from Langkawi. Since i love beaches, and with limited travel time and on a tight budget, I decided Koh Lipe to be my solo trip on spending my 4 days 3 nights holidays. If you are curious about Koh Lipe Island, Info about Koh Lipe is what you needed for.

Make a Reservation for Koh Lipe Ticket Booking online and after doing some phone calls and online reservations, finally i have my return Ferry Ticket depart from Telaga Terminal - Koh lipe for RM248.
Since the only seat available is the morning trip, I need to stay a night in Langkawi in order for me to be able to catch my ferry on time (I need to be 1 hour 30 minutes before the boarding time)

Online Booking Ferry Ticket, the web page to do ferry booking either from Kuala Kedah - langkawi or Kuala Perlis - Langkawi. It cost me about RM46 returns ticket from Kuala Kedah-Langkawi.. ( take note that i need to stay a night before and after Koh Lipe Trip) ... so its means i need to start considering about my Lodging & transportation while in Langkawi.

Rainbow Lodge Langkawi is where i am going to stay while i spend my nights in Langkawi. I made an early reservation through calls and Text message to the person in charge, Mr. Eddie and now i am free from Langkawi Lodging problem. Its going to cost me RM45/night for a single room with Fan and attached bathroom. And i also googled for the Langkawi Taxi Association and jots down the said person contact number just in case i have problem with transportation later.

Now the only problem that i am dealing with is my Accommodation while in Koh Lipe. I tried to searched for any budget or backpacking style of accommodation but all seems to be Fully booked during my travel date. Since i will arrive Koh Lipe at day time, i have plenty of time to do walk in reservation from hotel to hotel later. I hope i can get a place near to the beach with safety box / locker since i am travelling alone and who's going to look after my important belonging soon? ~ Alternatives plan.

14:28pm (25 April 2015):~ ** I successfully make a reservation at Koh Lipe Backpackers Hostel since all the other hostel were fully booked **** Dorm with 8 beds .. mixed!! Cost me about RM115 ++ for 4 days 3 nights stay and i am needed to pay 12% deposit via Credit Card or Pay Pal and pay the balance upon arrival ... (I choose Pay Pal since i have problem with my Credit Card). And thank God, the web page said they have Security lockers prepared for Guest!! what a relieves.

Koh Lipe Backpackers Hostel and its facilities !! Not Bad.
I really can't wait for the time to come... Its going to be a Fun Solo Trip!!

# Reminder 1: Convert Malaysia RM to Thai Baht.
# Reminder 2 : Check Passport Availability date ( Prior to six month expiration date!!)

Adventurous Saturday!!

Image result for planning quotes

If "Plan A" didn't work, the alphabet has 25 more letters!! This quote seem to fit my "Adventurous Saturday" Outing program. Well, things turns out to happens not based on what had been planned earlier and thats how i named it as "Adventurous Saturday!"

Initial Plan was to visit Danok, Thailand  through Bukit Kayu Hitam (Kedah-Thailand) border and do some Food Hunting. What we didn't expect is the heavy traffic along the road not too far from the border. Small car, big car, motorbikes were all on the road for the same purposes to enter Danok. Since this is my first visit to the boarder, i know less about how "things" was going on at the border but i did read about few blogs of how they waited hours to clear at the Immigresen for passport and custom checking. So instead of waiting our turn, we changed our plan to visit Padang Besar (Perlis-thailand) border. Perlis is another state in the northern side of Malaysia.

Here's the routes that we took. We started at point A (Changlun,Kedah)  to Point B (Padang Besar, Perlis) and Of course with GPS help but still we made few mistakes and ended up doing more U-turns along the routes. From Point B, We enter Perlis-Thailand Border and drove back to Point A using different (Thailand) routes.
It was a tiring Journey since most of the time we lost our way ... yes .. even we have GPS with us!! One thing i learnt from the trip ... always ask people for the correct direction and never to rely merely on GPS.

Here We go!! Journey begin with a Happy, Smiley faces of us (Katie, Nana & I). Katie, from Chicago, America was an English teacher here in Kedah. Have had met her at church. She was a lovely & friendly young lady. Nana, a friend of friend's of mine. She is from Perak. They both can be considered as a newly met friends and we were so excited about the journey!!

Upon arrival from Changlun to Perlis .... took us about 2 hours journey to finally reach Perlis. It was a small town with few fruit stall. Here are some facts about Perlis and well known as the driest place in Malaysia.
Yes its true ... its very dry and hot in Perlis. You might want to bring your drinking water along with you to prevent hydration while in Perlis.

Padang besar!!

Sticky Rice with Manggo ... (Pulut Mangga) and coconut drink was the popular food in Northern Part Of Malaysia. I never really like to eat sticky but since Katie want to try it .. why not!!

They also serve Sticky rice with any other local fruit like Durian and and coconut. Personally, i prefer eating those fruit alone without rice!!

But for those who really want to try this ... don't be hesitate!!
Recreational Bukit Ayer, Perlis

The best part of this journey ... entering Thailand through Padang Besar (Thailand-Kedah Border).

Its so exciting!!

Refreshing & original taste of Sugar Cane Drink... Love it!!

The super best part of the Journey .... Eating at one of the famous Steamboat (Stir-fry) restaurant in Danok..the concept of Eat-all-you-can was so worthy.

Variety of choices and the food was superb!!
Pork was the best food ever!! Bacon ( slices of pork) was so tempting and YUMMY!!
I ate it as if there is no tomorrow ... LOL

Its only cost us RM23 per head. Lucky enough we can choose to pay in Thai Baht or in Malaysia Ringgit. Worth with Delicious food!!

Things that i did not enjoy doing in Danok, Thailand... Experiencing the Tiger Show.
I felt pity for those girls who doing the show on stage. The audience of course was man!!
The place did not allowed us to take pictures but i did had few quick snap of those girls.
But i was wondering is they were really "girls" or "she-male"??? since Thai is famous with those "kind"!!

I never ask and i don't want to know. As a women i felt pity for them.

P/s: Spontaneous unplanned long Journey!! ~Adventurous Saturday!!~
