My Day 3 in Langkawi i spent with Island Hopping. Wake up at 7.30am, taking my shower, having my breakfast & preparing myself with half day island hopping program. I was so excited. The Tour bus picked me up from the hotel to Pekan Rabu Jetty (The meeting & starting point).
Isn't the view beautiful? owh yeah ... i know i am not some type of professional photographer but i love to take pictures. -May be its time for me to take a photography class- hehehe
The Island hopping journey begins. I met this couples from Sarawak, they were lovely and they became my half day travel buddies. Exchanging stories and experiences and helping each others with photo shooting. That was the uniqueness of being a "solo" traveler ... there are always something new to learn and meeting new friends.
Our first stop was Pulau Beras Basah or the Island of Wet Rice. I wonder why they named this Island with such an unrealistic names??? I am looking for the "real' wet rice. hahaha. The island was beautiful - according to my eyes- the trip provides us an hour tour at this Island and there were nothing much to see and the sun was so H.O.T. - I prefer it to be a little cloudy-
wherever you go, you will never missed out taking pictures and it became the memory to you in 5 or 10 more years later. Longevity is uncertain yet keeping it in a blog (like mine) i guess is meaningful for the younger generations !! I know this blog of mine is nothing special yet as long as i am happy blogging and sharing things ... its more than enough!!
If you are looking for rest room a.k.a toilet in this island ... don't be surprise that there were no public toilet at all. Walk a little further to the wood, you will not only see the monkeys around but you will also see a tree with red wording saying "Tandas di sini" / "here's the toilet" ... seriously?? for men maybe is applicable but for women? I mean women are not going to stand while peeing right? Owh no worries about the monkeys they are not going to hurt people yet still need to be careful with your bags at hands for they can be naughty to run and catch it from you.
Another pictures of the beaches... and the parachute!! I wish i can have the opportunity to fly high with parachute - some day- Way to go ... next Destination is the Island of Pregnant Maiden or Pulau Dayang Bunting.
Yay!! i am here ... I love it here for its rain forest and its quietness. From the main entrance, we need to walk another 15 minutes to reach the Pregnant Maiden Lake. Along the walking track, there are information about the land form of the lake and the history of how the lake was existed based on scientific point of views. But when you Google about it, there are story about the legends of the lake and its quite interesting to read. - how far was it true? we never knew- And in the religious point of views, the magnificent lake formation is the almighty God work of creation!!
Finally, here's the lake. it is advisable to wear a life jacket whenever you come near to the lake. The lake itself was 14 meters deep and for those who was not a good swimmer .. wearing a life jackets is necessary. I didn't go for the swim even though i did prepare some cloths for changing. I went for paddling activities around the lake with Sother, the Sarawakian's young lady. we had fun!! At the end of the trip, the trip agency will sell your lovely cute picture that stick in a small plate as souvenir...
p/s: I enjoy the day trip!!
